the departure from pre-set schedules to contract work is clear today with my first experience in contract work to start the new year. I feel apprehensive, happy, worried, independent, venturing outside external structures and developing an internal discipline. I’ve got to be confident I can bill for those hours of work. I’ve got to make the time worth the pay. 

I had a little bit of temple food to start the “workday” and thinking of the occasional 小豆餡 (あずきあん) as a sweet treat like I had in the government park all those years ago.  頑張る!
